For over a decade my wife and I have watched the Walking Dead together. We started watching shortly after we were married from our first apartment. 3 kids, one house, and a cat later; we have officially finished an epic binge of all seasons, so we’re up to date and ready to roll with the final part of season 11, and the end of the series. Yes, from the early years in season 1; and the core group of survivors we first met, we are only left with Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) alive and on the show, and still obscured from the series, but alive, is Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). Will Sherriff Rick comeback to close out the series he started? Will Michonne return with Rick? How deep does the Commonwealth rot go? Will Merser of the Commonwealth stay friend, or turn foe? Will Hornsby or the Miltons get what they deserve!? All these questions remain to be answered this season. The Walking Dead’s third, and final part, of the “super-sized” season 11 is set to premier on October 2nd!

For those of you hoping the ride wouldn’t end, watch for a Maggie Rhea (Lauren Cohan), Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) spin-off called, “Isle of the Dead.” This series will feature their exploits in and around New York City. In addition, a Daryl centered story is in the works as well; it was originally going to star Mellisa McBride’s Carol as well, but so far that has fallen through. Fear the Walking Dead is also set to continue, now that Kim Dickens' Madison Clark has been re-introduced in that series.

For those of you looking for a quick zombie fix, between now and the “new” season premier on October 2nd on AMC, you can check out a new anthology series titled “Tales of the Walking Dead.” This features characters portrayed by Terry Crews, Olivia Munn, Parker Posey, and several others.
