Meet Tilly, A Sweet Dubuque Dog Looking For A Loving Home
Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society. This week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting another amazing four-legged friend:

The Dubuque Regional Humane Society is excited to introduce this week’s special pet, Tilly!
Tilly is a 4-year-old, 29-pound sweetheart with a sensitive soul and a heart of gold. She’s a little shy at first and needs some time and patience to feel safe with new people, but once she trusts you, she becomes incredibly loving, loyal, and cuddly. Her favorite spot? Curled up right next to her person.
She’s still working on potty training and will need a home ready to continue helping her learn with consistency and kindness. Tilly can also feel anxious when left alone, so she’d do best with someone who’s home often or able to help her build confidence gradually.
One of her favorite things? Other dogs! Tilly loves playful pups who are gentle and respectful. Since she’s still figuring out doggy social cues, she thrives around canine friends who don’t get too grumpy. With her smarts and playful spirit, she’s sure to make a wonderful companion for the right furry sibling. That being said, she may have a prey drive, so we’re not sure how Tilly would do with cats or smaller animals. For now, a home without them would be best.
If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal dog who will blossom with time, patience, and love, Tilly might just be your perfect match. She is available to meet by appointment only, so give us a call if you’d like to spend some time with this special girl.
