July 1, 2024

  • Elizabeth, IL: From 4 to 10 PM, enjoy Elizabeth's Freedom Festival. Live music, food & drinks, plus the Golden Knights jump into to terrapin park at 7 PM. Fireworks to follow.

July 2, 2024

  • Dubuque, IA: The U.S. Army Golden Knights will be jumping into the Back Waters Stage area at Q Casino+ Resort at noon.
  • Dubuque, IA: Kennedy Mall hosts their Red, White, & Blue Celebration. Fun though the day with face painting, outdoor activities, army attractions, and a U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute jump at 7 PM.

July 3, 2024

  • Dubuque, IA: The Dubuque Fireworks & Airshow over the River at A.Y. McDonald Park is a must-see, with a spectacular fireworks display over the Mississippi River beginning at dusk. The airshow begins around 5:30 PM. This event features two jumps by the Golden Knights: one at 6 PM and one at 9 PM before the fireworks.
  • Galena, IL: At 10:30 AM the Golden Knights will parachute into the North Golf Course #1 Fairway. It's recommend you bring your lawn chairs and or blankets for this free event, open to the public. Donations are excepted and encouraged to The Honor Flight of Dubuque and the Tri-States. Food and Beverage will be available for purchase.

July 4, 2024

  • Dubuque, IA: Audrey Hammer 4th of July Ice Cream Social occurs from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Mathias Ham Historic Site, 2241 Lincoln Ave. Picnic foods, cakes, and ice cream are available for purchase, and freewill donations support the Mathias Ham Historic Site. Children can enjoy yard games, make crafts, and learn about toys, games, & hobbies through history.
  • Cascade, IA: Independence Day Parade, begins at 3 PM. Parade will begin at Merritt Chiropractic & end at the Legion Park.
  • Monticello, IA: Share Monticello's July 4 celebration of our nation’s Independence Day! Monticello Firemen's Breakfast -Berndes Center from 6:30 to 10:30 AM. Parade to follow with the theme "Celebrating Old Glory." At Dusk enjoy the Fireworks Show by Monticello Fire Dept. All activities start/held at the Monticello Fairgrounds, 800 N Maple Street.
  • St. Donatus, IA: Check out 4th of July at the Gehlen Barn from Noon to 10 PM at 101 Main St. Swing by the Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic 1 PM for Beer in the Barn Brewery. Food, fun, and music abound; plus, fireworks at 9 PM.
  • Elizabeth, IL: Fourth at the Fort from Noon to 2 PM at the Apple River Fort State Historic Site, 311 E Myrtle St. Listen to a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence, enlist in the Fort’s militia, cool off with a water race, and much more.
  • Galena, IL: Don't miss the Galena Independence Parade and Fireworks center around Green Street Plaza. The parade kicks off at 5:30 PM on Green Street in front of the Post Office and proceeds down Main Street. Expect live music around town as well. At dusk, the fireworks will be launched from Grant Park.
  • Platteville, WI: Platteville Heritage Day happens from 9 AM to 4 PM
    at the Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums. Free family activities, regular admission for guided mine tour and train ride. Come early for the Edward Jones Firecracker 5K—registration begins at 7:30 AM, kids run at 8, 5K to follow.
  • Shullsburg, WI: Shullsburg 4th of July Celebration: Parade, Pie Auction, and Fireworks running from 10:30 AM to 10 PM at Water Street and Badger Park. Don’t miss the parade starting near the school and heading down N. Judgement Street then onto Watert Street through the downtown. Fireworks are planned for around 9:45 PM.
  • Cassville, WI: Enjoy the Cassville Golden Sky on the 4th of July event at 10:30 AM, on Amelia St and at the Cassville Athletic Field. Check out the parade at 10:30 AM and get in on the kickball tournament at noon. The Golden Knights Parachute team jumps onto the field at 1 PM. Food, Drinks, and Tunes all day.

July 5, 2024

  • Dubuque, IA: Food Festival Friday's takes over Washington Park from 11 AM to 2 PM. Live music and 6 different food trucks to choose from, hosted by Dubuque Main Street.
  • Bellevue, IA: Bellevue Heritage Days from 4 to 11 PM. A Heritage Days button or silicone bracelet ($10 each) is required for entry to all festivities. Activities at Cole Park include Midwest Inflatables, H&H Fun Rides, and Ron Moraga Caricatures at from 4 to 8 PM. Enjoy food trucks, a refreshment garden, and live music with 50 Pound Rooster and Not Quite Brothers. Wear the kids out at the all ages kids dance from 8 to 10:30 PM. Then, join the One-of-a-Kind Band at the American Legion, 7 to 11 PM.
  • Galena, IL: Shenandoah Freedom Reins PRCA Rodeo begins at 7 PM in the Shenandoah Riding Center. Gates at 4:30, Rodeo at 7 PM. with fireworks and a barn dance immediately following.

July 6, 2024

  • Bellevue, IA: Bellevue Heritage Days beginning at 9:15 AM. The parade begins on Riverview Street at 10 AM. Activities at Cole Park start immediately after the parade and include kids games, a car/tractor show, food Vendors, youth dance performances, BINGO, Ron Moraga Caricatures, and adult bags tournament. Families can enjoy Midwest Inflatables, H&H Fun Rides, and swimming at the municipal pool. Check out live music from Jeff Theisen (Noon), River Moonshine (2:30 PM), and Hippies and Cowboys Band (5 PM) followed by the chambers cash raffle. South Riverview Street sees 11 food trucks from 4 to 9 PM and a Ski Bellevue ski show starts at 6 PM. Fireworks will be set off in the municipal parking lot downtown at dusk. In the event of rain, fireworks will be done on July 7th.
  • Cascade, IA: Rockin' on the River features Tyler Richton & The High Bank Boys, and Angela Meyer from 7 to 11 PM in Riverview Park. $10 to attend.
  • Dyersville, IA: Field of Dreams Ghost Player Game at 1 PM on the Field of Dreams Movie Site. The Ghost Player performance features family- friendly entertainment centered around hi-jinks on the baseball diamond. Concessions and autographs available. Just bring your chair and sunscreen as it's free to attend at 28995 Lansing Rd.
  • Guttenberg, IA: Enjoy the Guttenberg Stars & Stripes Celebration from 3 to 10 PM at Ingleside Park. Entertainment for kids, a watermelon eating contest, water balloon launch, and water games with the Guttenberg Fire Department. Inflatables will be open from 3 to 9 PM. Entertainment begins at 3 PM with live music, food vendors, and a beverage garden from 4 to 10 PM. The parade starts at 7 PM. At dusk, check out the fireworks over the river: bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit in the park and enjoy the show.
  • Galena, IL: Shenandoah Freedom Reins PRCA Rodeo begins at 7 PM in the Shenandoah Riding Center. Gates at 4:30, Rodeo at 7 PM. with fireworks and a barn dance immediately following.
  • Galena, IL: Stargazing in The Galena Territory from 8:30 to 10:30 PM at the Galena Territory Association Owners’ Club Parking Lot, 2000 Territory Dr. This free event is weather dependent.
