
3 Injured In Dubuque County Crash Involving Semi (Photos)
According to a police report from the Dubuque County Sheriff's office 3 people were injured in a crash involving a pick-up truck and a semi.
On Wednesday, October 18th, at around 3:31pm, Dubuque County Sheriff’s deputies and Iowa State Patrol responded for a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 151 at Twelve Mile Road.
The investigation revealed a semi that had turned onto Hwy 151 from Twelve Mile Road was rear-ended by a pickup truck which was traveling north on Hwy 151.
The pick-up truck was hauling a trailer carrying a UTV, similar to a Ranger. Damage to the front end of the vehicle was substantial.
The driver of the semi was not injured. Minimal Damage can be seen on the bumper of the semi-truck, where the collision force was focused.
There were three occupants in the pickup, who were heading back to Wisconsin. Two were transported to MercyOne Dubuque while the driver was airlifted on LifeFlight to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
At the time of the accident 151 North Bound was closed and traffic was being rerouted back down 151 South at a turnaround point south of the scene of the wreck. The accident is being handled by the Iowa State Patrol.
