Centrally Rooted Builds Musical Connections In Dubuque

For those of you that don't know. I LOVE music. I have been actively involved in the state music scene since my elementary years at Monticello High School, where I was All-state. I also sang as part of the famous Wartburg College Choir (Go Knights!). And went well beyond with a small professional career in local rock scene. I now enjoy playing drums and singing at my local church each Sunday. That's why I think this local organization is amazing for what it's doing and deserves our support as a community.

In the heart of Dubuque, a beacon of hope and creativity has emerged, named Centrally Rooted. According to a press release, this organization's story begins with a poignant tale of a little boy born with jet black hair and striking blue eyes, seeking only connection, safety, love, and significance. From the challenges he faced, Centrally Rooted was born, as a sanctuary dedicated to providing practical tools for life's inevitable fires.

For the past two years, Centrally Rooted has not only survived but thrived, thanks to a dedicated team, generous board members, and a growing community of supporters. Now, as they embark on a journey of expansion, they extend an invitation to the community to become large donors, investing in current and future generations. Their mission goes beyond eradicating suffering; it's about offering tools, life experiences, and kindness to anyone in need.

The organization's impact is immense locally, reaching families and individuals through programs like Mindful Musicians, Rooted Lessons, Music Therapy, Exploration Labs, and Scholarships. • Scholarships: 14 Mindful Musician Scholarships totaling $1,988.75
• 9 Rooted Lessons Scholarships totaling $5,900
• 2 Music Therapy Scholarships totaling $2,100

As the year comes to a close, Centrally Rooted has humbly requested support from the community, whether through a one-time gift or a sustained donation. The financial goal of $250,000 by 2024 is not just a number; it's a commitment to furthering their mission. Each donation, regardless of size, contributes to the organization's vision, supporting free services, scholarships, staff, and building development.

Founder and CEO Callie Mescher-FitzGerald has emphasized that their mission can only be achieved through unity and contributions.
