There are lots of annual events that we mark and celebrate each year.  Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and more.  Here's one I'd like you to add to your list...the American Red Cross Day After Thanksgiving Blood Drive.

The holiday season is a time for giving and the American Red Cross is urging people to give blood to help meet the needs of patients. Here's your chance to donate blood during the Day After Thanksgiving Blood Drive on November 26th in Dubuque, Iowa,

You can donate blood anytime between 7:30 a.m.and 1 p.m. at the Kennedy Mall on JFK Road in Dubuque

Appointments to give blood, platelets or plasma with the Red Cross can be made by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.

Each donor on Friday, November 26th gets a free pair of Red Cross holiday socks, while supplies last. There is no blood donation waiting period if you've received a flu shot or a Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine or booster and are symptom-free.

The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.
