Dubuque’s Pet of the Week is a Cuddly Pup Named Samantha
Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society. This week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting another amazing four-legged friend:

The Dubuque Regional Humane Society is excited to introduce this week’s Pet of the Week: Samantha! This lovable 2-year-old pup weighs approximately 45 pounds and has been patiently waiting for her forever home since arriving as a stray in October 2025.
Samantha is an absolute snuggle-monster who adores giving kisses to her favorite people. While she may not always make the best first impression, the shelter environment can be overwhelming for her with all the unfamiliar sounds, smells, and strangers. She sometimes barks or grumbles from her kennel, but once that door opens, her true personality shines through. Outside of the kennel, Samantha is affectionate, sweet, and eager to connect.
She loves going on walks, enjoys tasty treats, and thrives on attention and affection. Samantha has done wonderfully with other dogs and would be happy in a home with canine companions. She’s currently looking for either a forever home or a foster home where she can continue to blossom.
If Samantha sounds like the perfect match for you, stop by during walk-in hours or schedule an appointment to meet her: you just might fall in love.
