Iowa’s Ultimate Fall Festival: A Free Family Adventure at the Field of Dreams!

The Field of Dreams Movie Site is gearing up for a special fall celebration as it partners with DEKALB to host the inaugural DEKALB Children’s Fall Festival on October 12th & 13th, 2024. This family-friendly event, set against the backdrop of the iconic cornfields made famous by the 1989 movie Field of Dreams, promises a weekend full of activities for visitors of all ages.

According to a press release, the festival will offer a variety of attractions aimed at providing wholesome fun for families. By the way, it's totally free to attend! Highlights include a DEKALB corn maze winding through the famous cornfields and a smaller maze designed for toddlers. Attendees can also test their pitching speed at a speed pitch booth, showcase their creativity with pumpkin painting, or enjoy games like corn hole. Younger visitors will be thrilled with the inflatable play areas. For those looking to relax and take in the scenic beauty, Rexco Equipment will provide tractor-drawn wagon rides around the historic site.

Food vendors will be on hand with fall-themed snacks and other treats available for purchase, making it a great way to spend a fall day in Iowa. While the event is free, donations are welcome to support the upkeep of this beloved landmark. The event takes place form 10 AM to 5 PM both days.
