Illinois Students Looking For Valentine’s Gifts From All 50 States
Love is in the air, and one Illinois school is gearing up for a heartwarming Valentine's Day celebration like never before.
In a unique and charming initiative, Kindergarten students at Johnson Elementary School in Rockford, Illinois are on a mission to collect a Valentine's gift from all 50 states.
Why limit Valentine's Day to just your classroom when you can get the entire country involved?
Kaitlyn Graham, a Kindergarten teacher at Johnson Elementary School, posted to Facebook that she and a few other teachers are participating in 'Hearts Around the World' this year.
They're hoping to receive Valentine's Day cards, postcards, or special gifts. Their Kindergarten students will have a map in their hallway where they place heart stickers on every time a donation is sent from a different state.
