The #1 Question I Hate Getting Asked About Living In Illinois

Every time I run into someone I haven't see in a while in Rockford, there's one question I seem to always get asked.

I've lived in Rockford, Illinois my entire life.  All my memories are here with friends, family, and every single job I've ever had has never left this city.

And the older I've gotten, more and more people ask me the same question if I haven't seen them in a long time.  It's probably my least favorite question to answer.

The #1 Question I Hate Getting Asked About Living In Illinois

"When do you plan on moving out of Illinois?"

I hate answering this question because I don't have any plans on leaving anytime soon.  It sounds pathetic because there's so much in the world to explore, but I'm all about comfort.

I'm so comfortable living in Rockford that it makes life so much easier, more relaxing, and enjoyable.  Why would I leave if I'm perfectly happy where I'm at in life?!

I understand that a lot of people like to say, "the best thing I ever did was leave Illinois," and that's great for you.... but that doesn't work for everyone.  So many of my friends have made their way back to Rockford because it's home!

So, to answer the question: I don't plan on leaving until an opportunity comes my way that is too good to pass up.  For now, I'll stay right here in good ol' Rockford, Illinois where everyone I love is at.
