Get Ready For Monster Truck Madness In Dubuque
Over the last few years, I have seen several monster truck shows in and across Iowa. My kids always have a blast, and they're some of the few kids who can say they've taken a ride in a true "car-crusher."
Speaking of which, you could have the very same experience at the end of August right here in Dubuque!

On Saturday, August 23rd, the roar of engines and the smell of crushed steel will take over the Dubuque County Fairgrounds and Event Center as 2X Monster Trucks rolls into town for one thrilling show. Known for bringing high-flying, jaw-dropping action to cities across the country, this event promises to be a day your whole family won’t forget.
The main event kicks off at 2 PM, but fans are encouraged to arrive early. Doors open at noon, and the Pit Party & Ride Experience runs from noon to 1:30 PM. That’s your chance to meet the drivers, snap photos, grab autographs, and even hop into the back of a real monster truck for a heart-pounding ride. Trust me, it's a blast! It’s all up close and personal, something your kids will beam about for weeks.
This year’s monster lineup includes some serious heavy-hitters like Bounty Hunter, Jekyll & Hyde, Shark Bite, and Roarin’ Rex. Expect massive jumps, wild stunts, and plenty of car-crushing mayhem. The event also features high-flying FMX freestyle motocross and the ever-popular Power Wheels Kids Race, where kids ages 3 to 10 can race their own battery-powered cars during intermission.
Tickets are available now, and the earlier you buy, the more you save. Advance tickets can be up to $10 less than at the gate. Plus, all-inclusive packages offer VIP perks like pit access, monster truck rides, keepsakes, and a whole lot more.
So, whether you're a long-time monster truck fan or just looking for something wildly fun to do with the family before it's back to school, this is the kind of adrenaline-fueled entertainment that puts smiles on faces of all ages. Get your tickets, bring that ear protection, and prepare for a monster good time!
