Name Released in Fatal Dubuque Accident

According to a report from the City of Dubuque Police Department's Lt. Luke Bock, on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, just after 11 PM, Dubuque Police officers responded to a single-car motor vehicle accident in the 800 block of Peru Road. Upon arrival, officers determined that a Toyota Highlander had veered off the roadway and crashed into a garage located at 804 Peru Road.

The driver, identified as Timothy Morris, 41 of Dubuque, was found inside the vehicle with a severe head injury. Dubuque Police and Fire personnel provided lifesaving measures on the scene, and Morris was transported to Mercy One Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Morris’s body has been sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy. The Dubuque Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
