A police chase that started in Dubuque Monday night ended up crossing into Illinois and Wisconsin.  Here's the office report from the Dubuque County Sheriff's Department

On December 2, 2019 at approximately 9:30 PM a Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for speed on Dodge St. near Devon Dr. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop, and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit proceeded through the Cleveland Ave. and Rush St. area, then back onto Dodge eastbound. The suspect vehicle continued across the Julien Dubuque Bridge and into Illinois before continuing to Badger Rd and onto Highway 35 in Wisconsin. The pursuit continued along the Hazel Green area and onto Illinois Rt 84 with assistance from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff Office. Following stop stick deployment, the suspect vehicle was struck by a Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles. The suspect vehicle was finally stopped on 84 near Hwy 20. Minor injuries were reported to passengers 18 year old Cheyenne Oyler and 18 year old Dakota Hoftender. Oyler was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated and released. Hoftender was treated and released at the scene.

The driver was identified as 22 year old Adam J. Reinert of Dubuque. He was placed under arrest by Jo Daviess County and transported to their jail. Dubuque County charges are pending.
