Police Make Arrest In Grandview Jogger Assault in Dubuque
Police have made an arrest in Sunday's assault of a jogger on Grandview Avenue in Dubuque. The official release from Dubuque Police is below.
On 07/29/18 at approximately 7 PM a 21-year-old Dubuque female was running on S. Grandview near Randall Pl when she was approached by a male subject who tried to engage her in conversation. The male subject, later identified as Greg Thomas Langel, 22, of Dubuque, grabbed the female victim’s arm when she refused to give him her phone number. She was able to pull her arm away and kicked Langel when he tried to grab her again.
Traffic cameras were reviewed and a suspicious vehicle was observed in the area. The vehicle was registered to Langel and Langel was located and interviewed. Langel made limited admissions about the incident. Langel was charged with simple Assault and was arrested on that warrant today.
