Sub Sandwich Chain to Open New Location in Dubuque

Jersey Mike’s Subs, renowned for its premium submarine sandwiches, is set to open a new location in Dubuque this June. The new shop will be situated at 4855 Asbury Road in a strip mall previously occupied by Collins Community Credit Union.

A simple trip down the road in Asbury led me to notice a change in the storefront, so I swang in to say "hi" but honestly, I was just there for a killer sandwich. It was then that I realized this new location was currently undergoing inspection and would be opening soon in June after a brief conversation with the Franchise Owner Camilla Lees-Soerensen. The franchisee for this location, Team Leeso DBA Jersey Mike’s Subs, operates multiple locations across Iowa, including the Quad Cities and Coralville, as well as in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Jersey Mike’s prides itself on offering "A Sub Above," focusing on high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. The brand's signature preparation, "Mike’s Way," includes fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes, oil, vinegar, and spices.

The company, which started in 1956 on the Jersey Shore, has grown significantly under the leadership of CEO Peter Cancro, who purchased the original store in 1975 at just 17 years old. Today, there are over 2,800 locations nationwide.
