Nintendo and the Big Ol’ Super Sale
It can be really hard at times to find games that are fun for both kids and adults. But it seems that over the years, despite the many updates and changes in systems, graphics, and hardware, Nintendo continues to provide that very thing, to what I like to refer to as the “Family” of gamers. My kids are 12, 7, and 7. And the hardest thing to do is to get them to play together. That changed quite a bit when we decided to go big last Christmas and grab a Switch.
Fast-forward several months and a few Mario Kart tournaments later and I’m happy reliving my childhood, with my kids. Did you know there are even emulators right on the switch that let you play your favorite early year titles from regular Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and yes, even N64 (Ocarina of Time, anyone?). I also bring this up because right now is the time to bolster that library of family friendly games.
The Nintendo eShop Big Ol’ Super Sale has begun in North America. It offers deals and discounts at upwards of 50% off a huge selection of digital Nintendo Switch games and even a few Nintendo 3DS games. The Nintendo Sales & Deals page outlines hundreds of sales, which include first-party titles like Super Mario Odyssey and hot third-party titles like Monster Hunter, Assassin’s Creed, Skyrim, Doom, and loads more. Whatever type of game you’re in the market for, there’s a decent chance it’s on sale digitally right now. The Nintendo eShop Big Ol’ Super Sale runs through July 6th
